Cutting and butt welding:

After the material uncoiled, what we need do first is to cut the burr beginning of the coil. Then the uncoiling material will be butt welded with the former coil by the machine.

It is not hard to image why we need to do this.

We do the butt welding so that the pipe making machines can work constantly.

Also the next step has something related to the producing constantly, is Storage box:

After the butt welding finishes, the material will go to the storage box.

This part is mainly for reducing the prestressing force to prevent the material from getting deformed or destroyed. It also can keep sure the continuous production. Even the workers are cutting and butt welding the material, the machines can keep producing steel pipes. And we can control the material feeding speed to control the material quantity in the storage box.
